Surveys
Working since the inception of the cause, we deeply understand the need to gather and document the information about homelessness which has been unseen for years.
We have conducted the following large scale surveys in order to plan evidence-based interventions:
-
2001: Facilitated homeless count for India Census 2001
-
2002: Delhi survey of abandoned yet available buildings for shelter conversion. The report was submitted to the court which successfully helped in establishing shelters across the city
-
2003: Mapped Homeless Concentration Zones across Delhi to understand effective spaces for shelter creation. These efforts enabled us to craft shelters in the hotspot homeless areas which continue to help in providing accessible shelters to the homeless community.
-
2005: 1st screening of Homeless with Leprosy called Delhi Leprosy Mission
-
2006: Counted number of homeless street children in partnership with Action Aid
-
2008: Homeless count under Mission Conversion with Government of Delhi
-
2009: Survey of Citizenship Entitlements of Old Age Homeless people in Delhi
-
2021: Impact Of Covid on Homeless- to be released
