HOMELESSNESS

Field Intervention:

Our critical intervention team visits the streets in surveillance of homeless people who are in the most distressful and vulnerable conditions. We reach out to them to provide aid in the form of- shelter, health care, food and employment.

Shelter Management:

From establishing temporary tents on the roads to utilizing vacant spaces of educational institutes and community halls- we have evolved to running 24*7 home-like shelters wherein all required facilities including-library, computer, TV, wifi etc. are available. Our shelters are free and inclusive in their accommodation, supporting women and people with psychosocial disabilities too.

Family Reintegration:

We believe that the most successful rehabilitation is the one wherein the homeless are happily reintegrated back with their family. Our reintegration team works really hard in locating their lost homes. Once the connection with their family is established, they are psycho-educated and reintegrated back with essential resources.

Employment:

We believe that the most successful rehabilitation is the one wherein the homeless are happily reintegrated back with their family. Once the connection with their family is established, they are psycho- educated and reintegrated back with essential resources.

Extreme Weather:

The cold winters of Delhi are very harsh on the homeless, sometimes taking their lives away. During this time, we create additional temporary shelters and distribute heaters, blankets, warm water, morning tea etc. Correspondingly during the summer heatwaves, stalls are set across Delhi to provide nutritious liquids for hydration.
